Roman Reproach to the Philippine Bishops for Their Opposition to "Reproductive Health"

Pierre de Charentenay SJ
(Rome / Manila) Just before the pastoral visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines there appeared in Belgium a book that deals with the Catholics of this island nation. The author is the Jesuit Pierre de Charentenay, who is on the permanent staff of the Jesuit journal La Civilta Cattolica in Rome. In the book "Les Philippines, archipelago asiatique et catholique" (The Philippines, Asian and Catholic Archipelago), published by the Jesuit Publisher Lessius éditions in Namur,  de Charentenay criticized the Philippine bishops because of their stubborn resistance to new state laws that aim to legalize contraception, abortion, divorce and "gay marriage." Pope Francis hasn't offered a word to  defend them.
The South and Southeast Asia visit of the Pope from 12 to 19th January, in terms of global media interest, was reduced to the statement that "good Catholics" should not multiply like "rabbits".  One of those tossed in statements that increasingly characterize this pontificate. At this rate, decades later it will be recalled when the pontificate of the Argentine Pope is long past.
The statement was indeed of a general nature, but is easy to apply to  the papal destination of the Philippines. The archipelago forms the largest Catholic nation in Asia. And Filipinos are still happy about offspring.

Hardly Related to Country and Folk Elements in Pope's Speeches

Subjecting all speeches of the Pope, both prepared and spontaneous, an analysis, it is found that it hardly find specific references to the country and people. Here, the Philippines next to the young and small East Timor, the only predominantly Catholic country in Asia huge.
The Catholic church in the country became known worldwide for its leadership role in the peaceful popular uprising that the end of the reign of Ferdinand Marcos brought about in 1986. His widow took almost 30 years later, some with millions of other Filipinos at the Papal Mass in Manila. Otherwise, the Catholic island nation remained little attention.Today Filipinos form an army of millions of Catholic immigrant workers in the Islamic monarchies on the Arabian Peninsula.

De Charentenay's Book About the Catholic Philippines

The eminent French Jesuit, Pierre de Charentenay set himself the task to close the gaps in knowledge about the Catholic Philippines. De Charentenay is the current director of the Jesuit College Centre Sèvres de Paris, and from 2004-2012 Editor of the French Jesuit journal Etudes. Since 2013, he has worked as a regular contributor to the Civiltà Cattolica has climbed the "Olympus" of Jesuit magazines. As is well known, each article of the Roman Jesuit journal appears after prior control with explicit permission to print from the Vatican. Chief Editor Father Antonio Spadaro is currently one of the reigning Pope's  closest confidants.
The importance of the book by Father de Charentenay draws attention to  a barely noticed event. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi, also a Jesuit, recommended reading the book in preparation for the papal visit to accredited journalists. "A fortiori, it may be assumed with good reason that Pope Francis will have read the book," said Vatican expert Sandro Magister.
Father de Charentenay has visited the Philippines several times since 1982, and in 2013 lived there for almost a year on the islands. The book reads in one breath. The language is fluid, the details are well-founded, the historical survey is  accurate. The Frenchman appears as an attentive observer, but also holds some surprises ready for the reader.
It's astonishing, for example, that generous public forgiveness and allowances are granted in the Philippines by the state and by the community for serious crimes. The largest prison in the country Father de Charentenay describes as a giant village, within which the prisoners can move and organize freely.
Although these typical Filipino forms could  appeal to the mildness Pope Francis, who made the forgiveness of "mercy" as the core interest of his pontificate, he did not respond.

Praise for Government and their Divorce, Aberro-, Abortion and Contraception Agenda

Father de Charentenay also devotes a detailed chapter to the lengthy and harsh conflict between the Philippine bishops and the Government on the law about "reproductive health".
The author proves that he is by no means "neutral" on this point. He  frankly sides with the "Catholic" President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III. and whose government,  which has proposed and passed laws rejected by the Catholic bishops. Against the wishes of the Catholic Church,  the "Catholic" government continues what  the international so-called "Overpopulation" agenda of the Club of Rome has to offer.
Similar positions are taken by de Charentenay in his book and in the Philippines to other controversial issues such as divorce, abortion and "gay marriage". The Jesuit goes so far as to criticize the Philippine bishops for their resistance as backward and outdated. Not only against the pressure of "modernity", but also the expectations of Pope Francis. De Charentenay writes:
"Pope Francis' statement, 'We can not just insist on the issues involved with abortion, gay marriage and the use of contraceptive methods. You can not. These are things that people should not talk about out of context and not constantly' -  while the bishops have been very outspoken and public about their opinion. The Conference of the Philippine bishops has still adhered to its opposition on the grounds of principle. "

Pontifical Silence and a Clear Message

Pope Francis did not address the battle of the Philippine bishops during his stay. Above all, he neither defended it against criticism nor did he encouraged them in their struggle. Since the Civiltà Cattolica is valid under the direction of Father Spadaro as the essential voice of the Pope, de Charentenay belongs to the editorial staff and since Vatican spokesman Lombardi recommended the book as a source of information, the Philippine bishops should have understood at the latest after the Pope's visit, that their position is not desired by current Rome. In a figurative sense, the statement of another Pope's confidant, the Honduran, Cardinal Maradiaga to Cardinal Müller seems to apply the Philippine bishops: "You should be a little flexible."

European Museum Association "L'Internationale" Holds Anti-Clerical Exhibition -- Currently in Madrid

(Madrid) A network of European museums of contemporary art is a misanthropic, blasphemous and anti-clerical exhibition. The exhibition can currently be seen under the name  "Un saber real instruments útil"  the Queen Sofia Museum in Madrid. The exhibition promotes abortion, insults Christianity and is hostile to the Catholic Church. "It would be reprehensible if a religious denomination would get money from the government to insult feminists", said Infovaticana. Equally reprehensible is the inverse conclusion that feminists get money from the Spanish government and the European Union (EU) to insult the Catholic Church.
The "valuable" pieces, currently shown in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia  include matchboxes illustrated with a call for violence: "The only church that illuminates is  burning. Support help! "
The Queen Sofia Museum, named after the former Spanish Queen Sofia, the wife of  King Juan Carlos I, who abdicated on June 19th, is holding an exhibition, which is funded by taxpayers' money, blasphemes the God, insults the Catholic Church, degrades human dignity, calls for anti-Christian violence and the murder of unborn children. Miguel Vidal started a petition on HazteOir, which prompts the museum director , Manuel Borja-Villel to close the exhibition.
The Museum of Modern Art was founded in 1990. The headquarters is located in San Carlos Hospital in Madrid, which had been founded in the 16th century by King Philip II.

EU-Sponsored Church Hostility "in the Name of Art"

Was compiled by the exhibition  Croatian Curator Collective WHW What, How & Whom that holds exhibitions in the German-speaking world, especially in Austria. The Madrid exhibition was funded by the EU Culture Programme. The alleged "educational" approach of the exhibition recalls not coincidentally of the National Socialist "education programs". Nor that the Collective WHW put together an exhibition for a new European museum network called L'International (The International).
The  International Museums-  with its naming inspired by communistic nostalgia include the following six museums of modern art at: Moderna Galerija (MG + MSUM, Ljubljana, Slovenia); Museo nacional centro de arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS, Madrid, Spain); Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA, Catalonia, Spain); Museum of Modern Art, Antwerp (M HKA, Antwerp, Belgium); SALT (Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey) and Van Abbemuseum (VAM, Eindhoven, The Netherlands).
The exhibition is expected to be seen in all these museums soon. The Exhibition in Madrid is imbued with hostility toward Christians. An exhibition piece which criticized Islam,  would not only have been unsuitable for left and left-liberal Western states, but also for the Islamic Turkey.

Sacrilegious "Our Father" of Argentine Feminists

The exhibits feature a total of 30 artists and artist collectives. Among these there is also the Argentine feminist collective Mujeres publicas (Public Women). The "art" of Public Women is meant to attack the Catholic Church and to offend Christians and Christianity.
The Spanish left would not put up with having to pay taxes and can then offend people in an exhibition with their own money. The exhibition Un saber real instruments útil (Really useful knowledge) promotes the feminist "Our Father" the Mujeres publicas, which states:
"Give us the right to decide about our bodies. And grant us the grace to neither be virgins nor mothers. Free us from the authority of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, so we are the ones who decide for us. Pray that justice does not follow the order of the Church and be free from  misogynist oppression. We come to the right to deny that the fruit of our body is blessed. Lead us not into temptation, not to fight for our rights. And grant us the miracle of legalization of abortion in Argentina. Amen ".
From "Mujeres publicas comes the feminist battle cry:
"The Pope is Argentinian and abortion is prohibited. If the Pope were a woman, abortion would be law. "
The petition against the blasphemous and anti-clerical exhibition with a request that the exhibition is addressed to the museum director and at the same time to the Spanish Government.

Mobile Abortion Clinic in Argentina -- Archbishop of La Plata: "Abortion is Murder"

(Buenos Aires). The province of Buenos Aires wants to promote the killing of unborn children by "mobile abortion clinics". The Argentine province with its capital La Plata is nearly the size of the Federal Republic of Germany.  More than 15 million people live there, nearly a third of all Argentines. The eponymous capital of Argentina is not part of the province. The announcement of the provincial government slogan speaks for itself: "Drifting is easier in the province of Buenos Aires".
The goal that the provincial government is working with the capital, Buenos Aires is   "100 percent safe and guaranteed abortion". To this end, the formation of a mobile abortion unit was announced that should move throughout the province area to ensure the killing of unborn children in all hospitals where  the doctors and hospital staff refuse the murder of innocent children for reasons of conscience.

Mobile Teams Overturn  Conscientious Objection to Abortion

A mobile task force with the mission of murder is to  "liberate" Argentina's women  and more importantly, put the child's father in the background. The killing of unborn children is allowed in Argentina until the 12th week of pregnancy. The Minister of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires, Alessandro Collie, explained the decision: "Although we already have a protocol that governs access to legal abortion according to recent decisions of the Supreme Court, there were contentious issues, delays and doubts among experts about when and how these practices are carried out."  In plain language this means: If in a hospital all doctors refuse to kill an innocent child on grounds of conscience, a "mobile clinic"  will be  used in future. A task force that will consist only of staff who have no qualms about killing the children cruelly.
Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Daniel Scioli, is from the Peronist Partido Justicialista (PJ), the party of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. Scioli has exercised the office since 2010, representing the late former President Nestor Kirchner, the husband of his successor as Acting President.

Bishops of La Plata: "Abortion is Premeditated Murder"

The Archbishop of La Plata, Msgr. Hector Ruben Aguero and his two auxiliary bishops, Msgr. Nicola Baisi and Msgr. Alberto Bochatey  dealt harsh criticism to the initiative of the provincial government. "Abortion is deliberate and direct killing," said the bishops in a joint public statement. "The right to conscientious objection should not be presented as an obstacle,  just as the killing of a human life should not be presented as a medical auxiliary power. The intentional abortion of a human being at the beginning of its existence from conception to birth is, regardless of  what conditions they are ever performed, with no ifs and buts is murder," said the bishops of La Plata.
Archbishop Aguero is known for his commitment to the protection of life, which is highly contentious in the South American country because of liberal government policies. The Archbishop of La Plata raised his voice even when his brother, the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, has been rather silent. Msgr. Aguero was in 2011, even under consideration as the successor of Cardinal William Levada as Prefect of the Congregation  (see separate report The Future of the CDF - News in Persons Carousel? ). The outstanding head of the conservative minority in the Argentine episcopacy was appointed by Benedict XVI. 2012 personally as a member of the Synod of Bishops on The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith, after he had not been elected by the Bishops' Conference (see separate report , The Synod of Bishops, Papal Appointments and Some of the Background ).
While Archbishop Bergoglio led the "doves" in the Argentine episcopacy in the fight against "gay marriage," Archbishop Aguero was named as the leader of the "hawks". The Archbishop of La Plata is the only one of the three high-ranking church officials,  who are looked upon as "intimate enemies" of the Archbishop Bergoglio  who is still in his office (see separate report "His and Sunk" - Pope Francis and his former critics in Argentina ). {In English]
The doctors who participate in the "new macabre mobile abortion facility, betray the Hippocratic Oath" and constitute a further step in our society into  a "culture of death" to the abyss, says Corrispondenza Romana .

Bishop Galantino: The Prelates, For Whom Unborn Children Are Just a Millstone Around the Neck

Bishop Galantino: Handpicked "Man of the Pope"
in Italy's Church Has bergolian difficulties
with the Unborn
(Rome) The Secretary General of the Episcopal Conference of Italy distanced himself from the defense of life. Therefore, he was heavily criticized, and is now attempting a self-pitying correction, which was in reality a criticism of his critics. It's another signal as to how annoying some prelates find  the struggle for life, when John Paul II led the struggle to the last and Benedict XVI. declared it a non-negotiable principle.  But then came Pope Francis.
Bishop Nunzio Galatino Cassano all'Jonio made a brilliant career move under Pope Francis, however, he became known simultaneously in a controversial, perhaps scandalous manner. Until his discovery by Pope Francis, the Bishop was completely unknown to the world outside of Calabria. As bishop, he stands at the head of an old dwarf diocese, as they actually exist only  for historical reasons only in Italy. The new pope made unilaterally the Secretary General of the Italian Episcopal Conference at the end of 2013. Although Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco is still chairman, the real "man of the Pope" has been Msgr Galantino ever since.
On May 12, the Bishop gave an interview in which he distanced himself from the strange way he addressed pro-lifers  who perform prayer vigils in front of the modern death camps and there pray the rosary for the protection of life and for an end to abortion (see separate report Bergoglio Effect: Secretary of the Episcopal Conference Distancing Himself From Pro-Lifers  ). It's not a random statement, but a deliberate signal to the dominant forces for the killing of unborn children as a "right", to which you must not be challenged.

Pontifical Galatino

The interview was made in Catholic circles, but especially crated among life advocates an international sensation. It fit into a series with a no less irritating interview, that Pope Francis gave in September 2013 for the Jesuit journal La Civilta Cattolica. The head of the church said that  Catholics  were "obsessed" with the right to life and that one can "not always" speak out about issues such as abortion  (see separate report And he wept over his Pope - Pope Francis is silent on abortion and homosexuality, and finds it a good thing ). The irritations were more violent, as the Catholic Church is the last major, global institution that still opposes the abortion dictate, and the popes have raised their voices courageously against the murder spree charged from the Encyclical Humanae Vitae to Pope Benedict XVI. Ten months had to pass and  ever stronger murmurings rose within the Church, till Pope Francis for the first time brought the word "abortion" in his mouth in January 2014 (see separate report "The Horror of Abortion" - Francis Pope calls abortion for the first time by name ).

All Just a Misunderstanding on Which the Media are to Blame?

Now  Bishop Galatino laments in a recent interview for the monthly magazine  Sempre, the fierce criticism that hit him after his first interview. The Secretary General of the Italian Episcopal Conference saw no need for a correction of his first interviews. The criticism he described as "aggression, which in reality hurt me a little." Monsignor Galatino is of the opinion that it had all been a misunderstanding which goes back to an instrumentalization by the media. "The said interview was developed in a specific context: the influence of social communications. On this occasion I warned for vigilance, especially with regard to television, where images are used only to support one's own message. I gave the example to those who then only blank faces of those show who pray the Rosary against abortion in front of clinics. It was a method of the media, who don't  just want to invalidate the rosary prayed in front of the clinics  but also the large and unusual movement that stands behind it."  According to Bishop Galatino he wanted to warn you to be vigilant against such media manipulation.

From the "Malice" of the Rosary

The reason for the misunderstanding  was that his statement was taken out of context. "Sometimes the representative of certain of our movements don't read the interview completely, but only the titles and headlines of the media, who of course, have every interest to write something sensational and create problems. So it came to 10,000 tweets and 15,000 Facebook posts "Against Bishop Galantino, who showed himself to be  " impressed"  by this wave of criticism from within the ranks to dismiss the "malice of certain people who claim to pray the Rosary."  It is  "worrying to know that someone who prays the rosary, then is able to express himself in such tones and with such verbal aggression." Pro-Lifers shake their heads. Bishop Galantino has thus proven just one more time to have little idea of the reality of war, which is against under way against the unborn children worldwide, and the protection of life, about which he speaks, however.
Pope Francis seems  to be satisfied with the thesis of this "misunderstanding" at any rate. This past June 21st he paid Bishop Galantino and his mini-diocese in Calabria a visit. To see an homage, which was unanimously interpreted by observers as a signal to the Italian Bishops for Bishop Galatino as the new powerful man in Italy's Church (see separate report A question of priorities - Corpus Christi procession without Pope Francis ).

What Exactly Had  The Secretary-General Said on May 12?

Quotidiano Nazionale: In recent years, the Bishops' Conference established itself  (life, family, education) for the non-negotiable values. The Pope does not have this concept at heart. Do you not also?
Bishop Galantino: When we think of the sanctity of life. In the past, we have focused exclusively on a no to abortion and euthanasia. This goes not, in between there comes to the existence, develops. I do not identify myself with the motionless faces of those who pray the rosary in front of  clinics, where abortions are carried out, but with those youth who reject this method and fight for better quality of life for the people of their rights to health and work.
In the new interview, Bishop Galatino spoke of the "influence of the media" and "instrumentalization by the media." In the original there is nothing of the sort, but a whole precise question to which the bishop replied which was just as clearly irritating.
Bishop Galantino has tried an old game, where the blame is always pushed to the journalists. An attempt that often succeeds in this particular case, however, as the bishop has neither denied up until today his former statement  nor demanded a rectification of the daily newspaper. A substantive correction of his position would offer more suitable for the  "man of the Pope" in the Italian Episcopal Conference. Above all, it would  provide the only correct answer to doubts and criticism. Therefore, Pro-Lifers believe that Bishop Galantino has exactly said  is in the interview: A distancing from  the right to life scene that is seen by some prelates as just a more than annoying millstone that impedes an arrangement with the Zeitgeist.
Sometimes the attempts to plug a hole are worse than the hole itself

Bergolio-Effect: Secretary of the Italian Bishop's Conference Betrays Pro-Lifers for Secular Approval

(Rome) The appointed  new Secretary Generaly of the Italian Episcopal Conference hand picked by Pope Francis, Bishop Nunzio Galatino of Cassano  all'Jonio flattered the abortion lobby and distanced himself from Pro-Lifers in an interview on Monday. "I do not identify myself with the motionless faces of those who pray the rosary in front of the clinics that perform abortions."  We waited for a denial for 24 hours, says the editor of the Catholic website Nuova Bussola Quotidiana . But this denial did not come. "We have to accept it. This statement, which discloses a lack of humanity, one would expect only from the worst secularists, but it really comes from Monsignor Galantino."
The  secretary hand picked by Pope Francis  and since then practically the most powerful man in the Italian Episcopal Conference  is revealing a  "clerical arrogance"  which speaks of  "compassion" (for the women)   and contempt  for ( neighbors) life," said Riccardo Cascioli.
Pope Francis with Bishop Galantino
The governor of the Pope in Italy distances himself not only from the prayerful Pro-Lifers in front of the abortion clinics that already save hundreds of children from certain death and as many women, who they were able to keep  from making the biggest mistake of their lives. In the interview he kept a  distance from the fundamental right to life. "We have concentrated solely on a no to abortion and euthanasia in the past," said Galantino, but forget that "it comes into  existence, develops."  Therefore, an end to the resistance on behalf of  innocents, an end to the resistance against euthanasia and especially an end to the Rosary before clinics. Instead, "better quality of life for the people in their right to health and work," said the secretary of the Bishops' Conference.
"Besides the fact that it already if is no 'right to health' but possibly a right to medical treatment, Galantino  constructs an opposition that goes in deadly manner to the detriment of the child," said Cascioli. But this would in any case be something almost all  could support and propagate. The Church is the only really serious hotbed of resistance to the brutality of "progress". Only an "abstract ideological point of view" can dilute the right to life and dissolve it into a "right to health" and in a "right to work". "The truth is that you no longer want to talk about a thing that has become as  politically troublesome  a thing as abortion," said Cascioli. Not coincidentally, "Msgr Galantino even seems to be afraid, because  he instead speaks of the 'termination of pregnancy'. and  'this pratice', when he means abortion."
Galantino thus is ultimately only following Pope Francis, who distanced himself in Civiltà Cattolica interview in September by commitment to the protection of life and the Pro-Lifers, whom he accused of "obsession."   No abortion lobbyist,  could have said it "better". How now then are the statements for the protection of life  by the Pope? He also avoids meticulously  calling  things by their name and with the distancing from the "non-negotiable values", he gave them to understand that the protection of life was good and right, but ultimately has no priority.
"In addition, I would like to know who  all the bishops and priests who have spoken in these years constantly on abortion and euthanasia have been. I must have been distracted, but I know of so few in the sense that I can list them.  When John Paul II and Benedict XVI. talked about it - but certainly not exclusively - it is because they had to oppose a Church that has completely lost the sense of the "Gospel of Life", as the statement of Galantino confirmed in a startling way," said Cascioli.
"It would be nice if the Secretary of the Bishops 'Conference would at least try to think about the words said by  Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta: 'The greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing, it which is the direct murder by the hand of the mother herself. Because if a mother can kill her own child, then there is nothing that would prevent me from killing you, and keep you  from killing me."
The pressure to conform seems to dominate the bishops. The urge to conform, to belong to  the mainstream society  seems overwhelming. Today, no one wants someone who "judges", so there are also no standards, at least not universal Christian standards any more because the standards that the world presents  as authentic, contradict the teachings of Christ. "And who would even dare to pray in front of clinics where innocent children are killed, who will not only be left by their own bishops  in the lurch, that has been happening in Europe for years, but even insulted and offended. They are the same bishops, who call heathens to the pulpit, so that they can teach Christians. Because the only ones evaluated in this new, 'non-judgmental' view who are so condemned, are Catholics.

Editor Tries to Deny Financial Connection With Mel Gibson --- Gibson Still Supports Pro-Abort, FEMEN Mouthpiece

Edit: we'd published an article last week about Mel Gibson's strange relationship with an online tabloid that gives positive news coverage for FEMEN and attacks Pro-Life causes. It was a head scratcher for sure.  To date, nothing has come to light showing that Mr. Gibson has altered his relationship with TheLip or Mr. Lustig, although his son no longer works for the company.
The original publisher of the article, The Deadline's editor, Mike Fleming, however, has chosen to defend its article while attempting to portray Allison Hope-Weiner's alleged change of heart as the honest to goodness truth, even going so far as to write about how The Passion had changed his life.  He denies any financial relationship with Icon or Mr. Gibson.
The Deadline is an entertainment and media news source, which featured  an opinion piece was  by journalist Alison Hope-Weiner.  Ms. Weiner not only writes for Deadline, but she writes for TheLip.com, a publication where Mel Gibson's son until quite recently worked, and which is partly owned by Gibson's production company, Icon.
Whether or not Ms. Weiner's extraordinary conversion took place as result of a real change of heart or for other reasons doesn't belie the fact that she failed to disclose an obvious conflict of interest based on the financial relationship her employer has with Mr. Gibson.
Mr. Gibson and theLip's founder, Michael Lustig, are very close indeed, or at least it seems from the photos of them together on a balcony at Cannes.
Lustig and Mel Hanging Out
Actually, one commenter from Deadline puts it  succinctly:
Ms. Weiner made a major breach of journalistic ethics by not disclosing Icon’s involvement with a start-up venture which she has an equity stake in. This is journalistic ethics 101 and she knows it. It’s smoke and mirrors to suggest since she has editorial freedom and isn’t paid by Icon she did nothing wrong. The fact is she has a financial connection to Icon and should have disclosed it. Readers should be able to decide for themselves if there is a potential for bias, but they need all the facts to do this.
I’m also disappointed in Mr. Fleming’s long-winded explanation about how much “Passion” meant to him. It’s not relevant here. DHD should just acknowledge they blew this one and make a commitment to doing a better job in the future. I actually think Deadline is more professional than it was when Nikki was running it and think Mike’s a terrific writer. Not sure why it’s so hard to just apologize when you make a mistake instead of all this self-justifying.

Cardinal Raymond Burke: "We Need Catholics Without Compromise"

(Rome) The Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura spoke with unmistakable clarity : "It takes uncompromising Catholics" to oppose the killing of unborn children, artificial insemination and the gender ideology. In an exceptional and very long interview with the monthly magazine Radici Cristiane by Roberto de Mattei, the Cardinal treated in a  Catholic manner, the burning and controversial issues of the current debate over which, anti-Church circles exercise an increasingly radical   cultural hegemony and how  the thinking of Europeans is veritably brainwashed, which  begins in kindergarten. There is no more time to watch idly or to talk about compromise.  Nor is it legitimate to resign.[!] The tacit resignation in the face of a psychological, moral and spiritual destruction thus constitutes a form of compromise with evil, says the Cardinal.
The traditional Cardinal from the U.S. calls on the parents and teachers to decide to act against things  included in the school programs and curricula, which means the "injured innocence of children". These include programs that already want to teach four or five year old children that marriage could have "different forms".
Catholics Should Stand up Against Perversions of Relativism
An end to the silence, an end to the anxiety, an end to the  cowardice. It is necessary to bear witness to the truth of Christ to affirm the natural right to call the healthy Catholic doctrine into memory and stand up to the rampant perversions of relativism and secularism against the Church, against life and against the family, the cardinal said.
A certain laxity in the past decades have fostered the emergence and enforcement of false ideas. The fight against truth, beauty and goodness is in its present severity would have been unthinkable, if the half-heartedness had not come  into the Church, the cardinal said. "A real Catholic believes  entirely in every truth taught by the Church without compromise. The term  of , 'partial catholicity' and 'part catholic' is a contradiction in terms, " said Cardinal Burke.
"Confident No" to Abortion More Necessary Than Ever
Today it is   more than ever necessary   "to confidently say no to abortion and the contraceptive mentality".  In this sense,it was even more so a " resounding no to Communion for politicians, who act against the moral law,  in order, to prevent sacrilege through consistent action  and to protect the faithful from a public scandal."
The schools and the families should have no hesitation to "fight against the dictatorship of decadent gender theory. Parents need to watch over the education of their children so that they are educated regarding human sexuality to the truth and to be protected from false messages that are to be implemented by schools and the media," said Burke.  Parents should avoid having their children participate in classes and extracurricular activities that  undermine the truth about the nature of man as man and wife. "
Resist "Decadent Gender Theory"
The Cardinal treated  the problem of genetic manipulation in the interview: "It is important to emphasize that the resistance of the Church against in-vitro techniques is based on the conception of the natural law and not to a specific Catholic doctrine. Right reason protects the inviolability of human dignity and the procreation of man. "
Against abortion and "gay marriage" the Cardinal  urged the raising of  "the loud voice of protest" and to take to the streets against those governments that violate the natural law. The March for Life in different countries is a very useful tool for it.
Obama Accelerated Spread Perverse Theories
The Obama administration has, said Cardinal Burke, "brought an acceleration of  perverse theories". The policy of "U.S. presidents have become progressively more hostile to  Christian civilization. Many faithful Catholics have responded to the ever more increasing persecution. Unfortunately, there is still  the impression that a considerable part of the population is not really aware  of what is happening at present. "
In France, the population has responded most clearly: "The logo of Manif pour tous is very strong. It aims at the truth. What   the French have implemented  is a model for other countries. The citizens must be ready to act," said Cardinal Burke.
The complete eight-page interview can be obtained from the magazine Radici Cristiane, in Italian.

Hollande: "I Surely Didn't Ask the Pope for Forgiveness" -- Abortion not a Topic

(Vatican / Paris)  Corresponding to diplomatic custom little was made known officially about the content of the meeting of French President Francois Hollande and Pope Francis. Details were reported in the meantime by Dominique Quinio, the chief editor of the Catholic newspaper La Croix . Quinio was a member of the French delegation that accompanied President Hollande in the Vatican. The delegation did not participate in the actual conversation between the Pope and Hollande. "Hollande  said to us in the delegation that  he had surely not asked the Pope for forgiveness," said the La Croix -print manager. Quinio nor could conjecture, if the killing of unborn children was the topic of conversation.
According to Dominique Quinio it was an encounter in a "warm atmosphere when you considered that on fundamental issues such as marriage and adoption rights for gays, abortion and end of life, the positions are incompatible." Quinio was one of ten people in his entourage who were allowed to follow Hollande's reception in the Vatican. In an interview with the Corriere della Sera  she named some details of the meeting, about which the content so far has been very little known.

Was the Killing of Unborn Children an issue?

The meeting had been highly anticipated because the contrasts between church and state have been scarcely, as radically  visible  since the Socialist electoral victory in France in May 2012.   France Catholics foremost of all looked eagerly to Rome. More than 110,000 had turned in an appeal to Pope Francis and requested clear words from him.  Last year, millions of French people had gone against the intention of the government's legalization of "gay marriage" on the streets. They expected a signal of support from Rome.
The topic of abortion should have been the subject of the conversation. This was indicated in the official note from the Vatican. The Corriere della Sera reported this: "Also, according to close presidential circles   it seems that the two Francis' have addressed the topic of abortion".

Minimum Expectations

But Dominique Quinio is dismissive: "Hollande and Pope Francis had only vaguely and generally 'indicated to  the dignity of human life' at the end of the conversation. Abortion was not a topic. . "For the rest, no one had expected to be able to convince the other," said Quinio. "I do not think that the meeting with the Pope is sufficient to overcome the divorce that has taken place in France between  Catholic opinion and Hollande. The prevailing impression that the government has regularly adopted positions   and within a short period of time that contradict our values and perspectives. Gay marriage, a further liberalization of abortion, the legalization of euthanasia, which  has alienated Hollande from the Catholic electorate that surprisingly elected him in part and was surprised by it."
The  warden of   the Elysée Palace had wanted to put a gesture of "attention" and "respect" towards the Catholics, "with a view to the upcoming regional, local and European elections," said Quinio. "Immediately after the meeting with the Pope, Hollande put us turned by the delegation, in order to make a point,    had  certainly not asked  the Pope for forgiveness. Literally, he added: 'I am come as  head of state who meets another head of state.' Pope Francis Receives François Hollande -- 10,000 Catholics Ask Pope for "Clear Words"

(Paris / Vatican) On 24 January French President François Hollande was received by Pope Francis in audience. The contrast could not be greater. France's socialist government is in a hard cultural struggle against the non-negotiable principles and thus against the Catholic Church. To be precise, it is a brutal war of extermination with abortion, euthanasia, gay marriage, adoption rights for homosexuals, surrogacy and gender ideology. A group of French Catholics has appealed to Pope Francis. The call has a petition that has been signed within a few days of more than 100,000 Frenchmen. The appeal in full:

Your Holiness,

You have granted the President of the French Republic an audience and will receive him in the coming 24 January  at the Vatican.
With faith and hope, we turn to you, Your Holiness, to ask you to kindly to make known to  Monsieur François Hollande  to address the deep unease and growing concern of many French Catholics.
Because  French Catholics,  who  have demonstrated en masse  in order to express their rejection of the so-called Mariage pour tous-law, an unjust law that arbitrarily deprives the child of his right to have  a father and a mother  discomfort, and the gate that has opened  the door for the commercialization of the human body have  not been heard by Monsieur François Hollande. These rallies, although peaceful, have been suppressed by unworthy methods, such as, among others, we have even been charged under the lamented European Union and its resolution No. 1947.
Unhappy because the French Catholics have been the object of a media smear campaign of rare hardness for the last  year. The Church desecrations have multiplied in recent years, especially by Femen , a group of radical feminists. This profanation has been hardly found any response in the media. No member of the government or the responsible politicians of the ruling majority considered it necessary to condemn this desecration, which deeply hurt us, and not even a word of solidarity was pronounced. The ads were allowed to be posted. Many French Catholics can not help but to draw a comparison to the strict, unanimous and legitimate reactions against those responsible when other religious communities are under attack in France.
Unhappy finally, because no longer lett the ridicule, the teasing and the attacks on  the highest places can't even be counted.  On a  large national radio station, the Minister of Labor made a joke about the Holy Eucharist a few months ago, declaring, among other things: "We don't make any  invocations. We are not at the Mass, to pray. We are acting."  On social networks, the parliamentary staff of a socialist senator and cosigner of the gay marriage law, for the crowd to be fired upon, who were demonstrating against the Lex Taubira  and this senator still received the full support,  Such examples like this are unfortunately,  very many. French Catholics are tired of being a religious group that can be disparaged with impunity.
There is worry because these attacks against Catholics are a large step backwards in  fundamental and human rights, which is fostered by the Government through the promotion and blows the culture of death.
Last July  the National Assembly (lower house of parliament) established the conditions for research on human embryos. The French Catholics affirm their rejection of an idea of the child, where the child doesn't have any rights outside of his parents plans for him.
Recently, the offense of "obstruction of abortion" on the mere expression of criticism in the killing of unborn children was extended. French Catholics to be denied in this way, in violation of the freedom of expression, which was previously a basic pillar of our democracy, to express their opposition to abortion and abortion policy in the future.
The government lays the foundations to bring a bill to a vote, legalizing euthanasia. To this end, many were members of the National Ethics Committee of Monsieur François Hollande included, which today has no religious members.
Finally, the education minister, who is actively promoting gender theory at the schools said, without any ifs and buts according to his will: "We need the Catholic religion to be replaced by a republican religion" and "any  qualifications by  the student must be torn out by the roots" including the familial bond. In this way, the educational rights of parents to educate their children according to their beliefs is threatened.
Your Holiness will naturally find better words than we do, to bring our discomfort on the topics expressed here. However, we ask with confidence and gratitude, that you will officially pronounce to Monsieur François Hollande during his visit this coming 24 January, the terrible concern of many French Catholics. It is an honor for us to be able to say with the greatest respect, to be the humble servant of Your Holiness.

Jesuit Justifies Abortion -- "Neither the Order Nor Rome Intervenes"

(Madrid), the Spanish Jesuit  and Bioethicist Juan  Masiá Clavel has again defended the killing of unborn children. For years, Father Masiá distinguishes between "abortion and abortion" (see separate report Jesuit Justifies Abortion - And What do the Bishops and Rome do  ) "There are situations where it is irresponsible not to perform abortion," the Jesuit wrote on New Year's Day on his blog, which is connected with the Spanish daily El Pais. Critics accuse the Jesuits of being abortion apologists. All knew it, but no one has taken action.
Although Father Masiá is talking about extreme cases,  the context of his Speeches on abortion serve at the same time  for the justification of prenatal infanticide. Thus the criticism of Info Catolica and the Spanish church historian and Catholic blogger Francisco de la Cigoña on the most recent blog entry by Father Masiá. The most recent opinion has taken place at a moment in which the abortion debate has been rekindled in Spain by a government bill. The Jesuit wrote that in the abortion debate two "extreme opposite positions" are in existence in Spain, one can look at neither as the "only valid" view. Thus, the Jesuit is relativizing the Catholic right to life position and places the culture of death with a culture of life as  equivalent and "neutral" on the same level.

"Juan Masiá is still a Catholic Priest and a Member of the Society of Jesus"

"The worst thing is that these statements are not new. They are repeated by the Jesuits for years without anyone contradicting. Quite a few  therefore think that this is the teaching of the Church," said de la Cigoña.
Info Catolica wrote: "As we write on the 2nd of January 2014, and Father Juan Masiá Clavel is still a Catholic priest and member of the Jesuit order."  In the Order and in Rome "it is  known exactly" what Father Masiá does and yet neither the Superior General Father Adolfo Nicolas, or a Roman Pontifical Council [Or even a pontifical commissioner] gets involved. It is time to clarify, so info Catolica whether Masia's position is the Catholic position. If not, then "clear countermeasures" would have to be taken.  "I support the criticism of Luis Fernando Perez Bustamante (Info Catolica) completely. I too have had it with Masiá. And Father Adolfo Nicolas and his inaction, " said de la Cigoña.
Father Juan Masiá is Professor of Ethics at the University of Sophia in Tokyo and a research associate of the Center for Peace of the Japanese section of the interfaith World Conference of Religions for Peace (WCRP) in Tokyo, also known as Religions for Peace (RfP).

Not only Burke -- Brotherly Purge of Francis the Merciful

(Rome) The Vaticanist Matteo Matzuzzi analyzed the reasons that led to the removal of Cardinal Burke from two Roman Congregations within a few days for the daily newspaper Il FoglioHe sees the main reason in a "completely opposite" understanding of the Church. An interview with Cardinal Burke, published on 12 December  by EWTN finally led  to the fracture. Cardinal Burke expresses  doubt as to whether the Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium could be regarded as part of the papal magisterium at all. The background is also the great influence that the cardinal wielded under Pope Benedict XVI.  on the appointment of bishops in the United States. Part of the American Church saw the opportunity to get rid of this influence under Pope Francis, and to assist them accordingly. Obviously, they met with success. Matzuzzi speaks of a "purge" against the clergy, who are closely related to  Pope Benedict's understanding  of the  Church.  Because of the inflationary celebration of Pope Francis as a "reincarnation" of the "benevolent" Pope John XXIII.,  Matzuzzi writes  of the connection not without a finer, deeper significance between the "cleansing" and the "benevolent Francis". And once again  this signifies the dislike of the new Pontiff against tradition.

Feminists Attack Cathedral of Bologna -- Protest Against Rejection of Estrela Report

(Bologna) A group of militant feminists profaned the Cathedral of San Petronio in Bologna this past Monday. Masked with hoods that recall  the extreme left-wing Russian Anarchists ( see separate report ),  abortion and aberrosexual activists protested against the rejection of the Estrela Report by the European Parliament. Before the altar, the Church opponents unfurled a banner reading: "You Occupy the Counseling Centers - We Fill the Churches" and shouted in chorus: "Get the Church Out of Our Ovaries."
The Estrela report, which  the abortion and aberrosexual ideologues wanted to anchor as an official EU Directive, was rejected on the 10th December by the plenary of the European Parliament by a narrow margin. With the Estrela Report, named after the Portuguese Socialist Edite Estrela, the killing of unborn children in the EU would have been signed as a "women's right". The report also wanted to force all the EU Member States to legalize the artificial insemination of lesbians. The Austrian Green MEP and avowed lesbian Ulrike Lunacek had advocated significantly  in the relevant equality committee for the measure. The MEP responded to the rejection of tts report with a hysterical attack, as representative Lunacek scolded: "With the vote of the European Parliament, it bows to the pressure of ultra-conservative and reactionary politicians and non-governmental organizations". The Estrela Report also wanted to restrict the right of conscientious objection by doctors, pharmacists and medical staff in connection with abortion, contraception and artificial insemination. (see the Estrela report and its rejection of the opinion by representative Ewald Stadler ) [Will finish later, perhaps].
The radical feminist group unloaded their protest by desecration of the Diocesan Cathedral Church of Bologna. It blames the Church for the rejection of the Estrela Report. The Archbishop of Bologna, Cardinal Carlo Caffarra had asked the MPs ahead of the vote in the European Parliament to vote no.
In a statement, the feminist church vandals state:
"We will not accept  these medieval politics and morality, this dirty mixing of political and religious power, which leads us back to the time of deaths due to illegal abortions.
We will NEVER return back [emphasis in original].
We demand that the conscientious objection reference is [Italian abortion law] prohibited on the law 194 for all advisory bodies and public institutions, because it represents gender, class and racial discrimination, and a violation of our rights to health and self-determination.
And if the Pope publicly declared that the Church must give space to  women, we take the opportunity to  just speak to the Madonna because she has also taken a Conscientious Objector on the way to Bethlehem.
Conscious abortion is a right of all women.
Nobody touches on our free sexuality!
And if the lifers, Catholics and Conscientious Objectors penetrate into the public hospitals and counseling centers, then we penetrate with our bodies, our desires and our self-determination into the churches! "
Claiming that a ban on abortion is misogynistic because women will die from illegal abortions conducted in back rooms is  part of the standard repertoire of the abortion lobby, which has long since been debunked as a propaganda lie. Recently, the militant attacks of fanatical supporters of abortion on Catholic churches accumulate. Signs of coarsening and increasing hostility to the church (see the reports of  Argentine Catholics protect Cathedral From Feminist Attack -    Pope Francis burned in effigy , as well as Pro-Abortionists  Violate the Cathedral of Santiago de Chile and Putin meets with Pope Francis - Church Enemies Desecrate Church in Rome "Until the Last Pope is Overthrown" )
